Etsy Love - Totoro

Ok, so I'm late on the Totoro bandwagon! I'm a little embarrassed in the past I have dismissed the Studio Ghibli films since I've never been a fan of Japanese anime, however I'm now a complete convert.

I watched My Neighbor Totoro for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. I love how creepy yet adorable this film is.

I've just watched Spirited Away (I'll post some Etsy Love for it next week) and plan to watch Ponyo pretty soon. I wish I could just spend my whole summer holidays making Studio Ghibli fan art!

Which is your favourite Studio Ghibli film? I'd love some recommendations for more films to watch!

  4. Totoro!! <3 I bought a giant Totoro pillow for my boyfriend's son, but he's scared of it (I guess to a three year old it's pretty big, oops), so now I get to cuddle with it. :)

Have you heard of the artist Camilla d'Errico? Just thought of her when I saw this post because she posted an in-progress photo of her gelatotoro (gelato / Totoro) painting on her facebook today! She's done some Totoro prints in the past, too. Another artist local to Seattle who has some cool Totoro paintings is Justin Hillgrove.

Anyway, not sure if you've heard of either, but thought you might enjoy checking them out!
