Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

I've been enjoying spending time doing a lot of fan art recently, but it's mostly been of 90 Day Fiance cast members.

Today I started working on a piece dedicated to J Pop artist Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, I really love her creative and crazy music videos, particularly this one, so I decided to make a print of her vomiting rainbows.

You can see a preview of the print below, as well as free background downloads for you all and some merch available at my redbubble shop.

To use the backgrounds below, simply save the images to your phone/laptop & use them as your background.

Today I wanted to share with you kick ass work by my sister-from-another-mister, Ginge (Chopstitch). Ginge had recently started painting ukuleles, and they're pretty freaking awesome. If you don't already own an Adventure Time ukulele you should probably get one and learn the Adventure Time theme on it right now.

Ginge sells more of her happy creations on her Etsy shop Chopstitch. You can email her at chopstitchcrafts@gmail.com for all custom ukuklele orders and enquiries.

You can follow Ginge's cute creative works on her:

And don't forget to check out her blog Cosmos and Crayons to keep up to date on the Adventures of Ginge and Sloth on their scientific journey through space.

Etsy Love - Spirited Away

Within the first 5 minutes of this film I was immediately in love. The imagination and creativity of the story and the characters create a visual delight of a film. I love the story line of Spirited Away and could watch it again and again.

No Face is definitely my favourite character, with the Radish Spirit being a close second.

Not surprisingly this film has lead to some amazing fan art from my fellow Etsians. Here are some of my favs:

1. Geek Randoms / 2. Balbordo / 3. Big Bad Robot / 4. Anime Lovers / 5. Hatpire / 6. Bantam BB / 7. Amiamour /
8. Snaarlz / 9. Cute Art

Who is your favourite Spirited Away character?

Etsy Love - Totoro

Ok, so I'm late on the Totoro bandwagon! I'm a little embarrassed in the past I have dismissed the Studio Ghibli films since I've never been a fan of Japanese anime, however I'm now a complete convert.

I watched My Neighbor Totoro for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. I love how creepy yet adorable this film is.

I've just watched Spirited Away (I'll post some Etsy Love for it next week) and plan to watch Ponyo pretty soon. I wish I could just spend my whole summer holidays making Studio Ghibli fan art!

Which is your favourite Studio Ghibli film? I'd love some recommendations for more films to watch!

Etsy Love - What Would Kyary Wear?

This term at uni we've been asked to base our project around music. I chose to base my shoes around the J Pop artist Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who has the most amazing style and crazy music videos.

Here's my Kyary inspired Etsy finds, I think she'd rock every single one of these pieces.

Check out Kyary being awesome in the video below:

Desk of the Day - 09/02/14 Making uni work as kawaii as possible

Today I'm working on my tech file. Along side our projects at uni we're supposed to create a file full of techniques and things we've learned during our classes. Right now I'm working on some pages introducing all the machines we use to make shoes and what they do. As you can guess, it gets a little boring just typing up notes so I couldn't resist making the machines into little kawaii monsters! They're not all as friendly as they look & can be dangerous, but they're pretty helpful when it comes to making shoes.
