Mermaids and Corgis

Mermaids seem to be a really popular Russian Doll design, and I love finding out the different features people want on their mermaid dolls.

This set are for a lovely lady who's getting married, I always feel so honored when my work gets to be part of someones wedding! She wanted the dolls to resemble her, and to have her little corgi puppy by her side.

I love how these turned out, the addition of the corgi was my fav part of course.

Ginge Russian Dolls

Ginge is one of my best friends in the whole world, so I figured it's about time I made her some Russian Dolls! She already kind of looks like a mermaid so I wanted to include her as part of my mermaid series. She's also a fellow avocado enthusiast so I couldn't resist fitting some little avocados in the design! Ginge is also a science geek, so I thought some geeky glasses would fit in well with the theme.

Mermaids & Goldfish Russian Dolls

This is a custom order I finished last week of some mermaid Russian Dolls. They're based on my original Mermaid Matryoshka but personalised to look like the customer - as a present for her penpal. The customer wanted open eyes instead of my usual closed eyed dolls - I think the new open eyed look is super cute, I also love the brunette hair colour too. She also wanted some little goldfish including in the design.

Curvy Mermaid Gals

These are probably some of my favorite Russian Dolls so far! I loved doing their little scales and drawing on their tiny eyelashes. I've decided I'm going to do custom mermaids from now on, in any colour scheme and hair colour!
