Wednesday Art Feature: Kinomi

Kinomi is a Netherlands based artist who specialises in surreal and beautiful painted illustrations. What I love most about Kinomis work is the colour palette she uses. It takes the painting to a whole new cold and magical place.

Kinomi grew up in a small forest house surrounded by animals and nature. She spent most of her days as a child drawing and painting from her imagination. Her illustrations are still very much inspired by her childhood, I love the whimsical characters and the dark forests she paints.

Etsy Shop Feature: Minu

Minu is a german artist living in New Zealand. Her background is in commercial design and architecture but she now works as a toymaker and illustrator.

Minu's work is based on storytelling and characters from stories. By viewing her work, you get a strong feel of the character of the subject, whether it be shy, grumpy or gentle.

Her shop is full of adorable plush toys, original art and limited edition prints.

Etsy Shop Feature: Yalonetski

Yalonetski is the shop of Elya Yalonetski, a ceramic artist based in Berlin. She studied ceramics at Abramtsevo Art and Industry College in Russia.

Elya's works are an eclectic mix of cute, charming, whimsical and a little creepy. They remind me of fairy tale characters.

Wednesday Art Feature: Vilde D. Ulriksen

Vilde D. Ulriksen, otherwise known as Mokinzi, is another artist I came across on Deviant Art. I immediately fell for the gentle and whimsical feel of her work. Her work is full of haunting eyes and beautiful, yet confused looking creatures.

Mokinzi is an 18 year old artist from Norway. She is a fan of vintage toys and dolls, which I think shows greatly in her style of work. She does commissions at very reasonable prices too, check her deviantart for prices.

Wednesday Art feature: Nekranea

I'm going to try and post a new art or craft feature each Wednesday from now on.
I thought i'd start off with a completely inspiring and talented artist named Nekranea.
I first stumbled upon her DeviantArt account a few months ago and immediately fell in love with the creatures she makes.

Nekranea is a spanish artist, she specialises in one of a kind art dolls made from polymer clay (painted with acrylics) and needle felting. She displays her work beautifully in woodland scenes, making them look like real creatures.

Nekranea is not just a talented doll maker, she is also a great illustrator and has a shop where you can purchase prints, clothing, decorations and lots of other things featuring her artwork.

The Rogue And The Wolf

Droooool

I have just discovered the most amazzzing edible cake decorations from Andies Speciality Sweets. I want them ALL! I especially love their toadstools, nuts that aren't nuts and their candy buttons. I definitely need to invest in some of these before baking my next batch of cupcakes.
