Giveaway! Lucys Happy Place

I want to introduce you guys to one of my new fav Etsy shops; Lucys Happy Place. Which sells awesome artwork and totally freakin' rad brooches that I am obsessed with right now.

Looking through this shop immediately transports me to a beautiful, slightly crazy, imaginary world full of animals, rainbows and patterns. I am absolutely smitten with Lucy's prints, I would love to travel to the world she illustrates.

If you want to be taken on more of Lucy's imaginative adventures check out her website, she does bespoke artwork for really decent prices.

The lucky winner of this giveaway will get a Song of the Narwhal Wooden Brooch! The giveaway is open worldwide. Good luck guys!

!!! ATTENTION !!! I know some of you are having trouble following the Facebook links, I don't know if this is a Facebook or Rafflecopter problem, but until I get it figured out here are the Facebook links:

Etsy Love - Red White and Blue

Happy 4th of July to my American readers! I'm from the UK so I've never celebrated Independence Day before, but this weekend I'm going to celebrate it for the first time. An American friend of mine is taking me and some friends to an Independence Day party in London! I have no idea what to expect but I hope it includes lots of music, food and alcohol!

Here is my Red, White & Blue Etsy treasury:

What are you doing to celebrate the 4th July?

Etsy Love - Totoro

Ok, so I'm late on the Totoro bandwagon! I'm a little embarrassed in the past I have dismissed the Studio Ghibli films since I've never been a fan of Japanese anime, however I'm now a complete convert.

I watched My Neighbor Totoro for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. I love how creepy yet adorable this film is.

I've just watched Spirited Away (I'll post some Etsy Love for it next week) and plan to watch Ponyo pretty soon. I wish I could just spend my whole summer holidays making Studio Ghibli fan art!

Which is your favourite Studio Ghibli film? I'd love some recommendations for more films to watch!

Desk of the Day - Clowns & Cats

I finished my first year of uni yesterday! So today I'm getting back to illustrating just for fun, and it feels good.
Obviously I started off with one of my fav subjects, cats. This is going to be part of my sushi cats series.

Exploring Tower Hamlets (& Hackney)

A couple of months ago I moved houses to a slightly more central borough of London (Tower Hamlets). I already love the area, it's so much different from my last house and has cut my daily commute down by over an hour! There are so many parks near by, including the gigantic Victoria Park, and lots of canals to walk around that lead to Hackney and Stratford, I can't wait

Here's a few of my pictures I took a couple of weeks ago on a sunny day exploring:

1 & 2. Enjoying the sunshine in Victoria Park and pedaloing on their big pond.

3. A really cool pastel abandoned pub in Hackney.

4. An upside down artwork that reflected on the canal.

5. Me and my housemates found a canal boat cafe! We got to sit outside and drink while the boat rocked (and spilled our drinks, oops!)

6. I love this bright graffiti painted on some wooden doors, I found it somewhere on the canal in between Victoria Park and Mile End.
