Michelle from Creature Type always wows me with her Artwork, but I'm particularly smitten with these sunbathing vampires. I think they have fabulous hair and swimsuits.

Lauren from Old Red Boots is making me jealous of her wardrobe as usual. I think this pastel cat outfit is too kawaii not to share.

Marielle from Magical Daydream is making me cry with her beautiful crane project. Seriously, go check this out. Marielle shares love and positivity by giving 1000 strangers a crane that she's hand crafted from colourful paper.

Jessa from Caked Vintage is back! And she has some awesome hair and outfits to show us.

Shell from Kitty and Buck shows us a way to both protect our books, and make them look pretty at the same time.

Violet from Blythe Ponytail Parades shares some beautiful pictures of Blythe dolls from the Blythe Indy Meetup.

Etsy Finds - I heart Blythe

I have always loved the creepy cute look of Blythe dolls. I have three myself and one of my New Years resolutions this year was to have a go at redoing my Blythes faces and hair. Naturally, being the Etsy addict that I am I've been surfing Etsy for inspiration and clothes to go with my dolls new looks (when/if I finally get around to making them over!).

Last week I finally decided to get a Pinterest account, and oh gosh, part of me wishes I hadn't. I'm now a complete Pinterest junkie.

I used to have a ridiculous amount of inspirational pictures saved on my computer, now I can just simply pin anything I like into the correct folder. It's so much easier!

Introducing Milky Robot

I've always been a big Blythe Doll lover, I love their creepy cute expressions, big, cold eyes and lollipopesque (ha, is that a word?) stature. 

I have three of my own that I intend on customising in the next few months and showing you all the progress pictures. In the mean time though, I want to introduce you to one of my wonderfully talented sponsors, Milky Robot. She customises Blythe dolls and makes the most adorable doll dresses! I'm so in awe of her Blythe dolls, she has seriously inspired me to start the process of customising my own!

 Hello! I have been active with Blythe's and customizing them for about 4 years now! I started customizing my own dolls fairly quickly after discovering these big headed girls and became addicted! This year I took a plunge and started airbrushing most of my work and I'm in love with the color range I can get on them. Fantasy haired Blythe's are my favorite to work on, they make a fun canvas and I can really go crazy! I have been sewing for Blythe for a couple years now but only the past year took it more serious and started sewing each week to fill up my shop. They are the perfect sized doll to sew for and have similar bodies to the vintage Skipper dolls.

Other than Blythe customizing and sewing, I also design and make plush monsters, handspun yarn and other yarn-y goods! I'm obsessed with crafts and I have at least one project I'm doing daily!

Wednesday Art Feature: MAB Graves

At first glance you could almost mistake Mab Grave's work with the likes of Mark Ryden. With her attention to detail, imaginative & whimsical style which, in my opinion, put her up there with Mark and all the other great artists.
However, Mab dosn't just limit her work to illustration and painting. She often makes beautiful and creepy sculpted brooches or faux taxidermy beetles and best of all, customised Blythe dolls!

I'm a big lover of Blythe dolls, I even have 3 of my own. Mab's work is clearly influenced by the creepy, beautiful dolls. I think that's what I love most about her work, it manages to be adorable, yet unsettling at the same time, just like a Blythe doll.
