Desk of the Day - The land of Ooo

This is my newest Adventure Time order I've been working on. The main theme I was given was "The Land of Ooo" so I've tried to include as many featured of Ooo as possible.

It's been fun to think about the background and surroundings of the characters more in this pair of shoes. I'd love to do a Candy Kingdom themed pair one day.

You can see more of my Adventure Time shoes here, and my other shoes here.

More Adventure Time themed pictures!

Remember my Adventure Time Russian Dolls & Converse? I found some pictures that I took of them together before the converse got sent off to their new home.

I wish I could do matching shoes & Russian Dolls more often.

Art Feature: Ryna Ordynat

While browsing Etsy for Adventure Time themed items for my Adventure Time Treasury & my Game of Thrones Treasury, I came accross Ryna Arts, and decided this talented lady deserved her very own post.

Ryna is from Melbourne and is an archaeology student but draws and paints in her spare time. She specialises in painting fan art and fantasy in her own unique style. Ryna uses mainly watercolours and graphite pencils in her work.

Most of you will know by now that I'm a massive Adventure Time geek, so I almost squealed with excitement at seeing Ryna's fan art of Fionna! I'm also a big Game of Thrones fan and I absolutely love the way she's captured the Game of Thrones characters in her own style.

Adventure Time Russian Dolls!

Remember my Work In Progress photos from a couple of weeks ago? Well, I've finally finished the Adventure Time Matryoshka and got around to photographing them. Unfortunately Tofu wasn't around to "help out" this time.

These have been my all time favorite thing to paint so far!! I could stare at the Ice King's worried and handsome face all day long.

These Russian Dolls won't be up for grabs for a few months yet, sorry! They're going to be a prize for an exciting giveaway I have planned in August.

If you'd like your own set of customised Russian Dolls check out my Etsy Shop. Don't forget to enter the code "PCBLOG15" at the checkout to get 15% off for being a PonyChops the Blog reader! If you don't have an Etsy account you can contact me about orders at: ponychopsshop@gmail.com

Adventure Time Treasury!

Most of you who follow me on instagram will probably notice I've become a little Adventure Time obsessed lately. I've even been painting some Adventure Time Russian Dolls.

Desk of the day 18/5/13

I love seeing other artists and crafter's work in progress shots, and I'm always posting mine on instagram, but sometimes I wish I could take more time to take proper photos of what I'm working on. So, inspired by Cart Before the Horse who take the most wonderful work in progress photos, I've decided to start posting some better quality photos of the things I'm currently working on.

This isn't technically desk of the day, because it's yesterdays desk. I've been working on these Adventure time dolls for a while now, today they're finally ready for me to add the details and varnish them!

As you can see, the matryoshka photo shoot soon turned into a Tofu photo shoot. He's such an attention seeker!
