Today I have a guest post brought to you by Mari from Arcadian Home Blog. Mari is full of great ideas for interior design and storage solutions, her blog always leaves me wanting to decorate! Thanks Mari for this wonderful guest post that has left me wanting needing a walk in wardrobe in my tiny London house!
Hello, lovely blog readers! It’s Mari here with a guest post from Arcadian Home blog. It's a fantastic place to find interior design inspiration including great decorating ideas for everything from beautiful mini pendant lights to colorful and cozy rugs for the floor. With Chantal being the fabulous shoe designer that she is, it seemed most appropriate to do a guest post about where to stash your shoes. One thought lead to another and we wondered if shoes dream of the perfect place to relax and recuperate after running around at all hours of the day and night. To make a long story short, here are eight dream closets for shoes, though one might think they would prefer to rest peacefully on the soft carpet under the bed or stretch out in the corner behind the pink slipper chair. Perhaps we’ll never know, but in any case, please enjoy!
These dressy pumps hired a designer to do their closet—complete with Hermes orange background and leopard print carpet.
In the same fabulous walk-through closet, a few of the very special shoe designs got their own individual display shelves behind glass doors.
A sparkling rectangular glass pendant light is hung high in the center of this closet with stylish shoe storage shelves that keep these beauties organized and ready to slip on at a moment’s notice.
These dress shoes are lined up on custom shelves with stylish wallpaper background. It seems they too follow the latest interior design trends in wall coverings for the home.
Dark and moody, but so stylish and chic, this closet offers the discerning shoe lighted shelves for a comfortable life in the spotlight.
Meticulously organized and so fashionable with Hermes boxes and row upon row of footwear of every short, from sandals to tall leather boots, this closet is the perfect home for the shoe that loves structured living.
Pretty in pink with a tiny sparkly crystal chandelier, this large closet offers floor to ceiling shoe storage—stylish and practical too.
Only a few shoes are lucky enough to get the opportunity to hang out in a stunning designer closet like this where they have their own picture lights that ensure they’ll always be at center stage. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Chantal, I love Lizzie and those Converse high-tops are so cool! Thanks for letting be visit for a bit and muse about the storage preferences of shoes. ~ Mari
