Beautiful Ukuleles from Chopstitch

Today I wanted to share with you kick ass work by my sister-from-another-mister, Ginge (Chopstitch). Ginge had recently started painting ukuleles, and they're pretty freaking awesome. If you don't already own an Adventure Time ukulele you should probably get one and learn the Adventure Time theme on it right now.

Ginge sells more of her happy creations on her Etsy shop Chopstitch. You can email her at chopstitchcrafts@gmail.com for all custom ukuklele orders and enquiries.

You can follow Ginge's cute creative works on her:

And don't forget to check out her blog Cosmos and Crayons to keep up to date on the Adventures of Ginge and Sloth on their scientific journey through space.

Mario & Friends Treasury

A few days ago I was brainstorming ideas for new sets of Russian Dolls and I realised I still haven't done a Mario themed set! I've been a big lover of Nintendo games (particularly Mario games) since childhood, so I'm pretty sure I need to make myself a set when I get time.

In the mean time, I've been scouring Etsy for the cutest possible Mario & Nintendo themed goodies. Here's my favs:

Zelda Brogues

I did these Zelda fan art shoes a few months ago, they were one of my favorite projects to work on. I love taking inspiration from others drawings and work to create my own, it definitely helps me learn to progress my own style.

All characters are copywright of Nintendo. This is purely my own take on the Zelda & Link Characters that were created by Ninendo.

If you'd like some shoes customised just for you, please email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com or contact me via my Etsy Shop.

Mustard & Mint Mushrooms

These were my first mushroom custom order! The customer picked the colour scheme, which I think turned out lovely. I think these shoes will look so pretty with some tan or brown tights!

The Original Mushroom Brogues

These were the first pair of mushroom brogues I ever did. I don't think I'll ever get fed up of doing mushrooms. Especially mushrooms with smiley faces.

I love the colours on these brogues, I'd love to do this colour combination again!

These ones are already sold, email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com if you'd like your own customised shoes!

Etsy Shop Crush: Loopzart

I found Loopz while browsing for Christmas Cards this year. Their work is aimed at mainly kids, however I'm sure all my fellow childish adults and geeks will get a kick out of their adorable animals and game & movie themed work.

Loopz sell Christmas cards, high quality prints, calendars and customised invitations. I'm in love with their adorable take on disney princesses, and their awesome Mario & Luigi prints!

Baby Blue Mushroomy Cuties

Remember the Work In Progress post I did on Wednesday? Well here are the finished brogues. They were a custom order, the customer sent me her lovely office baby blue brogues for me to paint.

There's something about painting mushroom shoes that makes me so happy. I think this is the 4th or 5th mushroomy pair I've done so far. I just love how different each pair has turned out.

Trendy Toadstools

To some people, toadstools might represent fairy tales and whimsy. However, they always remind me of the trippyness, bright colours and high energy of willy wonka, and of course anything mario related.

Here are my top 7 super bright toadstools on etsy:
