Happy Floral Brogues

These brogues were inspired by the wonderful work of Takashi Murakami. I've been working on some Takashi inspired designs for my shoe design portfolio, so it was a great help to paint some shoes inspired by his work too, since I seem to be finding painting on shoes much easier than actual designing at the moment.

Zelda Brogues

I did these Zelda fan art shoes a few months ago, they were one of my favorite projects to work on. I love taking inspiration from others drawings and work to create my own, it definitely helps me learn to progress my own style.

All characters are copywright of Nintendo. This is purely my own take on the Zelda & Link Characters that were created by Ninendo.

If you'd like some shoes customised just for you, please email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com or contact me via my Etsy Shop.

The Original Skull Brogues

These were my first set of skull shoes! I was inspired by rockabilly style. I still love these colours together, what's better than bubblegum pink and mint green?

The Original Mushroom Brogues

These were the first pair of mushroom brogues I ever did. I don't think I'll ever get fed up of doing mushrooms. Especially mushrooms with smiley faces.

I love the colours on these brogues, I'd love to do this colour combination again!

These ones are already sold, email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com if you'd like your own customised shoes!

Cheeseburger Brogues

I don't particularly like the way I laid out my shoe posts in my earlier blogging days. So I've decided it's time to revisit my old shoe designs and present them in a better way.

This is one of the first pairs of shoes I painted. I think my linework is much better these days, but I still really love this design.

Arthur the Frenchie Brogues

I couldn't wait to show you guys these shoes! I did them for Alex from Alex & Arthur. They're based on her little cutie pie dog, Arthur, and they've been such a joy to paint.

Alex pretty much gave me free rein on the colour scheme, so I picked a muted lilac and rich yellowy mustard, I love those colours together!

I have these style brogues available in a load of sizes in black or brown, so send me an email at ponychopsshop@gmail.com if you'd like some customs :)

And here's a picture of Arthur, isn't he adorable?? Check out Alex's blog to see a ton more pictures of this gorgeous little guy.

Time for Tea

Remember the lovely Renee from Antiquarian Miss And her beautiful Tea cup collection? Well, a couple of weeks ago Renee asked me to do her some tea cup themed shoes based on her fav tea cup! I loved the idea of painting some little whimsical tea cup shoes so I got to work!

Here are the finished shoes, I'm really happy with them and I hope Renee is too!
This is my new style of brogues, I have them in stock in a dark brown or black, in most sizes! Shoot me an email if you'd like your own custom shoes: ponychopsshop@gmail.com

Baby Blue Mushroomy Cuties

Remember the Work In Progress post I did on Wednesday? Well here are the finished brogues. They were a custom order, the customer sent me her lovely office baby blue brogues for me to paint.

There's something about painting mushroom shoes that makes me so happy. I think this is the 4th or 5th mushroomy pair I've done so far. I just love how different each pair has turned out.

A little Mushroom gif

Hi guys! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I've had lots of painting to do so hopefully I will get around to uploading some pictures of my newest works pretty soon.
Other than that I've been baking lots, trying to figure out some awesome pumpkin recipes to put on the blog. So far the results have been a bit disastrous. Lets just say dying pumpkin cakes purple turns them a yucky grey-ish brown, oops! Hopefully tomorrow will bring me a yummy cake recipe or two.

For now I'll leave you with a little work in progress gif of some shoes I've been working on. I forgot how annoying gifs are with watermarks, eww.

Don't forget to enter my newest Giveaway! Only 5 days left!

Unicorn Sunset Brogues

Another order I did last week. I love unicorns and I love these colours, so these were probably one of my favourite orders ever. The sky in the background took forever but it was totally worth it.

Three little pretties

I just had to share this photo of the three pairs of shoes I was finishing yesterday. They're just waiting for their matching laces to arrive before I photograph them properly.

The first set are a unicorn themed custom order, I loved doing these! I spent so much time on the sunset clouds behind them.

The second set is a Zelda themed custom order, the Zelda cartoons were so cute to draw. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

The third set are for the shop, I just loved these colours. I think i'll save them for my pastelly photo shoot before I put them up for sale.

Puppy Love

I did these sausage dog shoes for a custom order last week. I love doing little doggy shoes, and this is probably my most favourite colour combination ever. I just love how pastel pink and mint green compliment each other.
I'm working on some mint green pug mocassins today, more pics of those to come though!

I thought I'd post some pictures of the fox themed brogues I did a week or so ago, I'm just so slow at updating the blog at the moment, sorry!
These are all available in my etsy shop.

And I did some cute foxy heels for me:

I also did some foxy canvas hi tops but I'll post piccies of those with the rest of the hi tops I've been working on soon :)

We all scream for Ice cream shoes

Here in sunny England, it has been anything but sunny this past week. So I painted some yummy ice cream shoes hoping it would cheer the weather up. I have discovered my shoe painting superpowers don't stretch as far as changing the weather after all.

Here's some piccies of them with some other ice cream brogues I did a few months ago, they're both available at the PonyChops shop.
