Rainbow Pinata Cross Stitch Pattern

As you probably saw in Sunday's blog post, my newest craft addiction is cross stitch. I initially started is as part of my uni project, but I think I'm going to continue with it. It's been a much more relaxing way to stay occupied on long tube journeys than playing angry birds and pet rescue saga!

Besides a few little cacti, this Rainbow Pinata is the first proper cross stitch project I've done in years. It's inspired by my Mexican Project and the adorable Adventure Time pinata Manfried.

Here's the pattern for anyone wanting to stitch this!

Purple, Pink & Ponies

If you've known me for a while, you'll probably know how much I love horses and ponies. It's probably a bit obvious since half of my business name is "Pony", the Chops half is another story that I will tell you one day!

A few weeks ago I got asked to paint some of my custom mocassins with ponies and clouds and pastels. I did a little squeal inside, all of my favorite things in one shoe (except for avocados, but I'm not sure that would work well with ponies!)

Here are my finished Pony Mocassins. I love them and I reallllly wanted to keep them.

If you'd like to order some shoes from me check out my shop or email me at ponychopsshop [at] gmail [dot] com

Desk of the Day and a giveaway winner!

Well, it's not really today's desk, it's from a few days ago but I love seeing these shoes together so much that I just had to share. I've had a few crazy days of catching up on emails and sending out shoes, so today I'm going to relax, eat hummus with my besties and bake pie. I hope you're all having a delicious, pie filled day too!

And a big congratulations to Tea T who won the Pidpenky giveaway! Tea gets to pick one of Pidpenky's adorable plush bunnies.

Etsy Shop Crush: Equine

As some of you may know, I'm a big horse lover! I had horses of my own until pretty recently and I'm always inspired by these beautiful, powerful creatures.

When I stumbled upon Equine on etsy I was so excited. Immediately I put almost everything in the shop on my birthday wishlist (hint hint Ash, if you're reading this!).

Equine not only sells beautiful horse related vintage items, it also sells beautiful hand crafted hooks, bookends and decorations! At first glance of Equine's bookends I knew straight away the horse figures they had used to make them with, Breyer horses. I played with Breyer horses for all of my childhood, so these hooks & bookends! I'm almost certain I need one to hang my bridles and headcollars on.

Unicorn Sunset Brogues

Another order I did last week. I love unicorns and I love these colours, so these were probably one of my favourite orders ever. The sky in the background took forever but it was totally worth it.

Wednesday Art Feature: Vilde D. Ulriksen

Vilde D. Ulriksen, otherwise known as Mokinzi, is another artist I came across on Deviant Art. I immediately fell for the gentle and whimsical feel of her work. Her work is full of haunting eyes and beautiful, yet confused looking creatures.

Mokinzi is an 18 year old artist from Norway. She is a fan of vintage toys and dolls, which I think shows greatly in her style of work. She does commissions at very reasonable prices too, check her deviantart for prices.

If you want to see more of Mokinzi's work, check out her Tumblr and Blog.

Autumn Colour Blocking

Check out these beautiful, colourful items to brighten up your dingy autumn/winter wardrobe. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a panic attack if I have to go without the gorgeous monster hat for much longer.

Aloha!

Welcome to the official PonyChops blog ltd tm. Featuring the ramblings of Ginge and Chantal, usually under the influence of co codamol and David Bowie.

We intend to keep you up to date with Fashion, Beauty, Art, Baking, Events, and more importantly our menstrual cycles (we're both due on Saturday unless Ginge starts a new packet of pills).

We also run an etsy shop: PonyChopsShop where we sell vintage clothing and will soon be expanding and selling hand painted shoes and art :)

We both have to go because it is a school night and it is our bed time now.

Watch this space for more periodic (menstrual) updates.
