Pretty Kitty: Nail Art Tutorial

You will need:
Turquoise, dark purple (you can pretty much replace these with any colours you want), yellow & pink nail varnishes
A bobby pin
Black nail art pen

1. Paint your nails with the background colour
2. With your "cat" nail colour, paint the top third of your nail, make the edge rounded for the top of the cats head.
3. With the same colour, add some little triangular ears, extend them to the edges of your nails.
4. Add some little pink triangles for the inner ears, it dosn't matter is the pink extends on the cats ace area.
5. Apply another coat of "cat colour" on the top third of your nail, going over the bits of pink that went on the cat head.
6. Apply two dots of yellow for eyes using your bobby pin.
7. With your bobby pin, apply a pink dot in between the eyes to form a nose
8. Add some tiny black dots in the centre of the cats eyes to form pupils, and you're done!!

  5. AMAZING!! I love that your nail tutorials are so cleverly proportioned. This could easily go on my short nails. or on the very ends of long nails.

    1. That's cause I almost always have short nails! I don't find long nails practical at all, they look so pretty though

  6. So cute! I've tried this before...but I just don't have the patience for it!!! I don't know how so many of you do it, even with just a regular coat of nail polish I tend to screw it up before it's dry :/

    1. I'm not very patient doing my nails either! To be honest the only time I can force myself to let them dry properly is when I'm doing a tutorial haha

  11. Found your blog via My Mod Style. You had me at "I'm a vegan." Squeeeee! I love finding other vegans. On another note I love this post. I haven't painted my nails in at least seven years but I'm a big cat lover and this is adorable! I might have to break that record. :)
