Jake the Dog & Finn the Human

I recently did some more Adventure Time shoes. These ones were a Birthday gift for someone, but I realllly had to fight hard to not keep them myself. When I get some free time I definitely need to do myself some Adventure Time high tops.

I was so happy I got to paint the Ice King on these shoes, he's my fav character (other than Lumpy Space Princess), I just love his worried old face.

You can check out more of my Adventure Time Art here.

All of the characters here are copyright of © Cartoon Network. This is just my own fan art & I am not associated with Adventure Time or Cartoon Network in any way.

The PonyChops website is now live!

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I was working on a PonyChops website. Well it's finally up and running! Here it is:

It's a pretty basic job, I'd love to spend a bit more time learning new html skills to jazz it up some more but I think I'll do that over time. I have a new blog design commission that I'm eager to get my teeth into. So I'm sure I'll learn some more html while playing around with that.

PonyChops in a music video!

A few months ago I had a custom order for a set of daschund brogues. It turns out the girl who ordered them is in the band Aaron & Jane & they short a video recently where she wore her PonyChops shoes!

You can see the video below, the shoes appear at 2.44

In other news, I will be announcing my Big Vegan Giveaway winner tomorrow!

A bit of a spruce up

You may notice I've been a little more absent from the blog recently. It's because I've been busy sprucing everything up! Since the blog got a make over my Etsy shop, Facebook and Twitter got a little jealous and wanted some new designs too!

Here's the Twitter and Etsy make overs, they're just quick make overs but I'm pretty happy with them for now.

I also added a few shoe custom listings to the Etsy shop, so people can find out prices, styles and sizes much easier. I added a digital illustration listing and a custom Russian Doll listing. I also reduced some of my SALE items.

Don't forget if you're ordering any of the none sale items from my shop, you can use the code PCBLOG15 to get 15% off your order. I love my blog followers! So I think it's about time you got your own discount code!

I'm currently working on a new website and some business cards, I'm hoping the website will be up and running by Wednesday.

This weekend it's my year anniversary of becoming Vegan!  I have a pretty exciting giveaway to share with you to celebrate it, I can't wait to show you all.

An interview with PonyChops & a giveaway winner!

Last week Abigail from Buttercrumble approached me asking to interview me on her blog. Of course I said yes! Here's the interview. Abigail creates such adorable kawaii artwork, so I feel very honored that she chose to feature me on her blog.

On other news, I've been looking for some amazing stilettos to use for custom painted orders for some time. I think I've finally found some I'm happy with! What do you think of these? I ordered a sample pair last week and they are very comfy and good quality. I can't wait to get painting little kawaii things all over these babies!

I picked a winner for the Celine H20 giveaway today too! And it's the weirdest coincidence, Abigail from Buttercrumble is the winner!

Poodle Prints!

Remember Lush Prints? The lovely stamp shop who hosted a giveaway on my blog? They very kindly sent me a personalised stamp to have a play with! I was over the moon when I got this in the post, I think all of my Christmas cards this year are being signed with my new "PonyChops" stamp! Most of my regular readers will know I'm a big poodle lover, so the fact that this stamp has poodles on makes me even happier!!

I love this stamp! It's so easy to use and well made. The wooden mount makes it so easy to apply even pressure and achieve a great result. I can't wait to have a play with this on some fancy paper!

The Preston Guild - Part 2 - Fashion Edition

Not only was the guild full of fun and creative things to do, it was also full of great vintage & vintage inspired fashion. There were so many vintage stalls and so many goodies to be found!

I couldn't resist buying this vintage poodle brooch! I have to buy anything poodle, and it's the perfect colour to match my hair.

Adele bought some beautiful vintage gold shoes. They looked like they'd barely been worn & matched beautifully with her white tights.

As well as buyable fashion, there were a few paper dresses dotted around, made by local fashion students.

(1. Caroline Luvate 2. Gerry Hickson 3. Unknown 4. Linsey Moss)

Adele and Ginge wore some beautiful outfits too, so I took some photographs of them.

Adele is wearing:
Hello Kitty Phone: Ebay
Brooch & Necklace: Tatty Devine
Dress: Thrifted
Sunglasses: Ebay

 Ginge is wearing:

Sunglasses: Primark
Shirt: Roxy
Skirt & Belt: Primark

ER MAH GERD ERNSTERGRERM

Translated: Oh my god Instagram. If you want to learn to speak ERMAHGERD look no further than this translator. Em from Lick My Cupcakes was kind enough to send me the link to this ingenious website. It's entirely her fault if I start talking like this in real life.

Anyways, here's my latest update in instagram pictures, as you can see there aren't many this week as I'm saving loads of my piccies for a post about this Sundays photoshoot (although, it may not go ahead now due to stupid rain).

1 & 2. Of course I can't do an update post without featuring my scruffy little bear dog. She's now had a hair cut and looks far too sleek and neat, it totally dosn't fit her crazy bouncy personality. In pic 2 she's snogging the face off my friend Ginge. She loves ginge cause she smells like dog butts. True story.

3. I made the nommiest chocolate fudge cake I've ever eaten, seriously! And it's vegan, but you can't even tell. I sort of vowed never to make this again cause I ate far too much of it. But now I've decided to make it again in order to get some good pictures of it and do a recipe post :)

4. I tried lino printing and failed. The result looked awful! I'm going to have to try again. I managed not to take a chunk out of my thumb this time, so kind of a happy ending.

5. I made PonyChops note paper!! This makes me so happy. I want to write everyone letters on it now.

6. I painted and reupholstered some charity shop furniture for sundays photo shoot. I've decided I'm keeping this furniture as I've fallen in love with it.

Three little pretties

I just had to share this photo of the three pairs of shoes I was finishing yesterday. They're just waiting for their matching laces to arrive before I photograph them properly.

The first set are a unicorn themed custom order, I loved doing these! I spent so much time on the sunset clouds behind them.

The second set is a Zelda themed custom order, the Zelda cartoons were so cute to draw. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

The third set are for the shop, I just loved these colours. I think i'll save them for my pastelly photo shoot before I put them up for sale.

Minty Fresh & Pugtastic

Here's some pics of a custom order I did last week. I loveee mint and I loveee pugs even more, so this is an awesome combination.
My favourite custom orders are always ones of peoples pets. If you'd like your pet/pets or anything else putting on a pair of shoes, drop me an email ponychopsshop@gmail.com or contact me via my etsy shop.

High Top Crazy!

Hello there strangers! I know I've neglected the blog lately. But I promise next week I'll be back on track! I've had a fantastic week of cooking vegan goodies, painting pugs, sketching material designs, and most importantly planning a photo shoot for August!!

I put some new high top shoes in the shop. If you want to order your very own high tops email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com I have them in most sizes, including mens!

Puppy Love

I did these sausage dog shoes for a custom order last week. I love doing little doggy shoes, and this is probably my most favourite colour combination ever. I just love how pastel pink and mint green compliment each other.
I'm working on some mint green pug mocassins today, more pics of those to come though!

Foxy Brogues

I thought I'd post some pictures of the fox themed brogues I did a week or so ago, I'm just so slow at updating the blog at the moment, sorry!
These are all available in my etsy shop.

And I did some cute foxy heels for me:

I also did some foxy canvas hi tops but I'll post piccies of those with the rest of the hi tops I've been working on soon :)

We all scream for Ice cream shoes

Here in sunny England, it has been anything but sunny this past week. So I painted some yummy ice cream shoes hoping it would cheer the weather up. I have discovered my shoe painting superpowers don't stretch as far as changing the weather after all.

Here's some piccies of them with some other ice cream brogues I did a few months ago, they're both available at the PonyChops shop.

Miss Madelein and Lady Gaga

Remember these cute mocassins I did a few weeks ago? Well their lovely owner Madelein sent me some great pictures of her and her cat (Lady Gaga) modelling them! I just had to share!!

Thank you Madelein and Lady Gaga for sending me your pics!

Thank you Fernando De Souza

Do you remember my art feature on Fernando De Souza a couple of weeks ago? After he saw my feature he very kindly offered to do a portrait of me. Of course, I couldn't refuse!!

Here is the finished portrait:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I especially love that my top has the ponychops logo on it!
Also, I am in love with how he's done my hair, it kind of makes me want to shave my side bit again.

Cool feet for hot days

It's been hot this past few days in England (well, it's started raining now surprise surprise!). So I was inspired to paint some more ice cream shoes.

They're up for sale in the shop NOW. Go buy them before your feet overheat.

And here's some pictures of them making friends with my mint choc chip brogues, also for sale here.

Am I a complete weirdo for imaging shoes have friends?
