Etsy Shop Feature: Solé designs

I've been a fan of Solé designs for a while. I love the way the jewellery is so nature inspired but still full of colour and fun. And how the jewellery is displayed on vintage style wallpaper to add to the ageless look of these beautiful pieces.

Solé designs was created by Katia (who a few of you may know from her blog, Kitty Snooks), a Canadian crafter who's inspired by nature and the little things in life. Katia is hosting a giveaway for one of her lovely creations on her blog right now.

Which is your fav Solé designs piece? The last pic has to be my fav!

Wednesday Art Feature: MAB Graves

At first glance you could almost mistake Mab Grave's work with the likes of Mark Ryden. With her attention to detail, imaginative & whimsical style which, in my opinion, put her up there with Mark and all the other great artists.
However, Mab dosn't just limit her work to illustration and painting. She often makes beautiful and creepy sculpted brooches or faux taxidermy beetles and best of all, customised Blythe dolls!

I'm a big lover of Blythe dolls, I even have 3 of my own. Mab's work is clearly influenced by the creepy, beautiful dolls. I think that's what I love most about her work, it manages to be adorable, yet unsettling at the same time, just like a Blythe doll.

I love this article from Blythe Ponytail Parade where she visited The Candyland Exhibit and got to meet Mab!

What I Wore #6 - The happy koala hat

I haven't done a What I Wore post in forever, I've mainly been slobbing about in comfy clothes feeling ill. When I recieved a beautiful brooch from Polli I realised I could slob about no more, I needed to wear an outfit that did this cute little brooch justice.

As for the koala hat, I've had it about 2 years now, I actually look forward to cold weather so I can wear this cutie. I used to work at a freezing cold Asda petrol station and would constantly get told off for wearing it, but the customers loved it. One day the main Asda manager arrived to work after a 2 hour drive on snowy roads and told me the hat had made his day better, from then on silly hats were allowed in Petrol and I was known as the bear girl! I also managed to dye my hair bright colours over winter and my boss wouldn't notice because my big hat covered it all! All hail the mighty koala hat and it's hair dye trickery!

How cute is the Polli brooch?? It made my day opening my mail and finding a cute little doggy brooch staring up at me. It's made so well, very sturdy and the clasp is easy to use and dosn't come undone. It even comes in it's own adorable little bag!

Poodle Prints!

Remember Lush Prints? The lovely stamp shop who hosted a giveaway on my blog? They very kindly sent me a personalised stamp to have a play with! I was over the moon when I got this in the post, I think all of my Christmas cards this year are being signed with my new "PonyChops" stamp! Most of my regular readers will know I'm a big poodle lover, so the fact that this stamp has poodles on makes me even happier!!

I love this stamp! It's so easy to use and well made. The wooden mount makes it so easy to apply even pressure and achieve a great result. I can't wait to have a play with this on some fancy paper!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Every December, me and Ash try and make it down to London to explore Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. I always look forward to this trip, Winter Wonderland is amazing. I love the wintery smells of mulled wine and cherry mead (my favorite!), the creepy haunted house and the merry reindeer who sings Christmas songs all night long. Sadly, this year we probably won't get time to go (although I think I still NEED to visit Manchester's Christmas market to satisfy my festive craving).

Yesterday Barratts contacted me about being involved in their newest competition, to style a pair of their footwear with a winter themed outfit. When I saw these wellies I knew straight away where I wanted to wear them! To the Winter Wonderland of course! They look so comfy, and perfect for strolling around eating churros and drinking hot chocolate whilst stocking up on fake snow and Christmas presents from the Christmas Market! Plus, they're waterproof, so perfect for exploring Hyde Park afterwards.

Here's how I would style the wellies:
