Digital Illustration: Olive & Ivy

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of illustrating a portrait of the lovely Chelsea from Olive & Ivy.

Chelsea is a fashionista that likes girly - but not too girly - things, and of course, cats! So I tried to show this in the illustration of her. I had so much fun doing Chelsea's lovely ombre, slightly curled hair.

I did two options for her to choose from, one with glasses and one without. I think I like the glasses one best.

If you'd like your own custom illustration send me an email at: ponychopsshop@gmail.com

    1. Thank you!! I love the cat background. I'm certain it needs to be made into a shoe design!

  6. You are SO my inspiration for buying my Bamboo Create tablet. I just have no idea where to start with digital illustrations. I would love to see a tutorial on how you create these magnificent works of art sometime. Any advice is appreciated! Like, how do you get the lines to be so perfect and symmetrical? So confused. Haha

    1. I'm thinking I might do a time lapse of my portraits and maybe a tutorial on how i create patterns one day. It may be a while though I'm super slow with my creativity lately ha!
You're welcome to email me any time for any advice on using illustrator, I feel like I'm still learning though, there's lots of tools I'm yet to try out. I started off by following some basic tutorials on vector diary (the basic ones are free).
I don't use a tablet on illustrator because it infuriates me haha. I think tablets are really hand for free hand linework though. Can't wait to see what you create with your new tablet!

    1. I'm so glad you love it! I don't actually use a tablet for the illustrations, I find it really annoying to use in combination with adobe illustrator so I just use my mouse
